Data Centre Operations Manager
(Location : Kl / Pj / Tpm Cyberjaya )
Major Responsibilities
•
He/she is responsible to ensure that all requests for incoming
& outgoing equipment and racks are properly assessed and
managed, including planning Demand management and execution
& capacity planning for Data Centre for suitable placement
within the raised floor.
•
He/she works with all internal & external stakeholders
to plan, evaluate and execute these physical placement activities.
•
He/she monitors the capacity and utilization of the raised
floor, and ensures that appropriate information is provided
to the Data Centre Manager for chargeback.
•
He/she works with the Production Integration Executive in
the management of the processes in the movement of equipment
going in and out of the data centre
Ideal Person
•
Working experience in demand mgmt (ie working with IT teams, project managers to assess the facility requirements (space, power, cooling, networking, cabling, security etc) for new platforms and equipment coming into a data centre)
•
Exposure to capacity mgmt including planning for current and future demands, familiarity with techniques)
•
Exposure to incident mgmt, problem mgmt, escalation and crisis mgmt, availability mgmt etc.
•
Exposure to working with auditors and audits.
Highly desirable:
•
Exposure to banking environment, banking IT projects etc
•
Good vendor management skills
•
Good project management
•
Good budget management
•
Good people management
•
Maturity to deal with different levels, strong communication skills.
