Minimum - Bachelor’s Degree in
Information Technology/Information Systems/Computer Science,
Business IT or other equivalent university degree.
•
At least 2 — 3 years of IT Security
or Systems/Network Administration experience involving IT
security operations and Security incident response and management.
Technical Skills
•
Hands on support experience in Microsoft
Windows systems - Windows XP, Windows 2000/2003 server.
•
Understanding information security
risks.
•
Experience in security incident response
and management.
•
Information security knowledge and
concepts.
•
Working knowledge of networks including
firewalls, routers, VPN devices.
General Skills
•
Effective oral and written communication skills.
•
Problem solving.
•
Analytical skills.
Responsibilities
The Security Analyst directly reports to the CSC internal security
organisation, in particular the Asia Lead and also matrix reporting
to the Security Incident Response and Control Center (SIRCC) .
Major responsibilities include:

Research and report on potential security
vulnerabilities
2
Provide Incident Response and Management
support, coordinate Computer Security Incidents and direct
remediation efforts Manage day-to-day security operations.

Preparation and presentation of Monthly
Security Incident reports
Breakdown of duties:
1
Research and report on potential security
vulnerabilities.
2
Assist in identifying and remediating
virus and malicious code incidents. Provide escalated support,
for remediation, to on-site support personnel.

Perform investigation of security incidents
and recommend containment/remedial actions.
4
Provide training to end-users and support
on potential threats to the security of their systems and
to provide information about how to avoid, minimize, or
recover from the damage.

Perform vulnerability assessments of
regional network and coordinate the remediation of vulnerabilities
with other support group.

Prepare monthly security incident reports
and

Propose recommendation(s) to mitigate
recurring security incidents
