• JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Work on shift to enable 24x7 support of all global storage and backup systems. The candidate will work from a queue and ensure that all resolutions are met within the agreed SLA.

• PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Working from queue to resolve SAN and Backup related issues
  • Ensuring that all problem tickets meet agreed SLA’s
  • Ensuring that all devices are at the latest OS / Firmware levels
  • Maintain daily communication with teams within the business and IT to ensure progress is made on outstanding issues
  • Co-ordinate with project teams to make changes to the environment
  • Maintain documentation on processes and environment
  • Produce and circulate weekly Status reports
  • Develop new or improve existing processes/procedures

Qualifications

• REQUIREMENTS:
  • Graduate Degree with 2-5 years experience in IT systems (or relevant combination of education and experiences)
  • Willing to work 12 hour shifts
  • Familiar with SAN topology and storage concepts
  • Experience in SAN zoning, firmware upgrades and troubleshooting required
  • Working knowledge of EMC, & Quantum/ADIC Hardware Products (CX, AX, DMX, CDL, i500 & i2K)
  • Working knowledge of EMC Software Products (EMC Control Center, Navisphere, Timefinder & Legato Networker)
  • Experienced in Brocade switches preferrable
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge on ITIL processes
